It’s only natural, if a bit lazy and illogical, to think that others believe as we do; that they have the same hopes and dreams as do we.

You believe that the United States of America is the greatest nation to have ever graced Earth, bar none. But not all who live in the United States believe that. There are some who would bring down the American dream. There are some who have never been proud of their country, and given the opportunity these people will actually admit this. There are some who were educated in other lands where our values are not taught, and who have no deep roots in our country. There are some who would foment revolution here to overturn our way of life. There are some who have listened to foul anti-American diatribes week in, and week out, for decades, whose minds have been washed with hate. There are some who think the United States of America needs "fundamental" change - down to its very core. To these people what we are - America and Americans - is to be torn down, mutilated, and trashed. These people are not just "of a different mind set," but they are irrevocably and urgently antagonistic to our country. They are truly our enemies - enemies from within. They would, in the words of Nikita Khrushchev, "bury us."

Others do not necessarily believe as we do. They live here, but they hate everything that we are. They are not like us. They do not share the same values. They are deceitful and arrogant - the "smiling faces" who tell lies to break us and our will. They are not impressed by our morality, and they are never won over to our side. They are focused on our destruction.

Is this a paranoid delusion or a reality check? Who is deluded?
